The Poem She Wrote

The Poem She Wrote by Created Alive

Don’t want to kid myself tonight
Don’t want a shooting star to fall out of the sky
Don’t need a wishing well to sell me a lie
Can’t ask a pretty bird to lay down by my side

All I need is this dream in me
All I need is the chance to believe
All I need is this dream, she said
All I need is you my friend

Don’t want to kick myself tonight
Don’t want a shooting star to fall out of the night-sky
Don’t need a wishing well to sell me a lie
All I need is your love in my life

All I need is this dream, she said
All I need is you my friend
All I need is this dream in me
All I need is the chance to believe
The chance to be me
The chance to be free

And this is the poem she wrote me

Invite a rainbow to come into view
To light your room, to dry your wounds
So you may never fear a glistening night
The blushing moon or a rushing tide

Ignite a firefly for Freedom to see
He’ll bring you your wings then cut you free
And if you’ll fly for Him He’ll fall by your side
Be with you tonight
He’ll be with you tonight
He’ll be with you tonight

All I need is this dream, she said
All I need is you my friend
All I need is this dream in me
All I need is the chance to believe
The chance to be me
The chance to be free

And this is the poem she wrote me
